I just sat here, watching my Sister's Flight leave here and land in Orlando, FL. Let me tell you, it made me nervous but at least I know they safely landed. I hope they can get to the hotel room and get some rest. We watched them take off, and both my Mom and I had tears...lol.
My Son was given the opportunity to review the Blue Dragon Plus video game for the DS. We rec'd the copy today, my Son will pretty much be playing it all weekend. He is excited about getting to play a new game for his DS. I think he's going to enjoy it. I may play it and see what its like. I have my own DS, so of course I love to play games too. But he gets the play it first, we have a 45 minute road trip tonight so he will get time to play it while he's with me.
And smashing his no good ass into the wall. Excuse my language. Due to unforeseen circumstances, I may be absent from this blog until things get straightened out. There isn't anything that anyone did online nor friends/family. Just some personal issues that I need to take control over with myself. I will be here from time to time, checking in on people. I just need to learn and understand my life a little bit better, and hopefully by then I will be a better person in general after all is said and done.
To get our bed....soooo cannot wait. OMG, SO friggin' excited.
**UPDATE** Nope. Didn't get it. It seems that whomever packed the bed NEVER checked the bed itself. So when they rec'd it at the warehouse, the leg was broken. Oh so not happy right now. We've waited over a couple of weeks now, now we have to wait another week. GAH. But they loaned us a king size frame for the bed so we can at least get it off the floor. Yay! THEN they are going to deliver and set up our bed at no cost. I think they know my temper cause my nose was starting to flair at the warehouse. LOL.
I am now sitting here watching the weather and it seems we have rain, lots of rain heading our way. Its making sense now. My shoulder has been giving me grief today. NOW I know why.
Is a question I have been asking myself going thru our junk drawer. I am finding marbles, bobby pins, safety pins, thumb tacks, ball lock pins and so much other stuff its not even funny. I have to get into that mode of just throwing stuff away. Remind myself that I don't need this or that.
When my basement flooded in my old house, I learned to throw things away real fast. I still have that image burned into my head and then watching the garbage guys throw my stuff away like it was nothing.
Low, blow.
My house is coming to together, despite my nap earlier...my house is getting organized. And I am really excited, and hopefully our bed will be here tomorrow. SOOO excited.
And it felt good to relax, I don't get much of that. In fact, its nowhere enough. I always wake up in a daze in the afternoons if I nap. My Son is a talker if I take a nap, not kidding you. There was obviously a commercial for Fendi watches if I am correct, and he asked me while I was asleep if they have watches with the world on it. Talk about being woke up and confused. All I heard was, world and watch. So my first initial reaction was something bad was gonna happen...lol.
Then your whole world changes. Right now my heart is broken. Its nothing anyone did or said. I watched the movie Nights in Rodanthe. Yes, I cried...and cried, and cried. My heart took me back to when I was little. And nowadays, people take their kids for granted. No this isn't pointed at anyone, its just something that really makes you think.
Think about when you were little, no go ahead sit down and really think about this.
What are your favorite memories with your parents and grandparent?
Was it camping?
Was it at a amusement park?
Was it sitting around the dinner table?
Was it watching a movie together?
Honestly think about your favorite times and what you miss the most. Watching that movie Nights in Rodanthe took me back to when it was just me and my Daddy. When he would just swing me around and around. In those moments, those were the best times because I knew at that moment....he was focused on me. And all he was wanting was to see the smile on my face.
It wasn't out spending money, buying me this or that. It was the one on one times I miss spending time with each of my parents. Kids nowadays are spoiled with their video games and TVs in their rooms. Mine especially.
I am guilty of not spending enough time with my Son you know. I've had a few difficult weeks here. Dealing with alot of crap and family drama, wishing I didn't have to listen to half the stuff I am told. Because all I ever wanted is a normal family, but then again who wants a normal family? I miss the Sunday Dinners at Grandmas, the huge Christmas get togethers and birthdays. I loved my childhood, and what I would give to give my OWN Child the same happiness I had.
Hopefully tomorrow we will be picking up our new bed. I am simply that excited. Its been years let me tell you. Right now our bed sits on the ground, well the mattresses anyways. We have been getting ready for this bed now for at least a week. What we didn't know is when we ordered it, it was a Special Order bed. So it took longer to receive it. Well anyway, we had to do a bit of rearranging to get it to fit, hopefully it still does. We may have to go look at tv stands and a new TV. I seemed to ruin the TV we had in my room. So now, its looking like new tv time. Not too happy about that. Anyway, I just can't wait til' the bed is here.
