U Gotta Be Kiddin Me

My Brother is not having the best of luck lately. This past weekend he was involved in a minor car accident leaving about $3000 worth of damage to his Explorer. The other guy that hit him is a not so nice guy, and left the scene of the accident. Well today, I had an appt. for getting some assistance. And found out some new rules for getting help. They are getting strict because too many people are taking advantage of the system. There are requirements for getting help. One you must be willing to get a paternity test done if you have children, then your income can only be so much, and your assets, which includes property and vehicles, stocks, bonds and other etc. He told me today, since I am making payments on my van the value of the vehicle cannot be over a specified amount. And since I do get child support and unemployment right now, I barely make the limit amount. I am very upset about this, because I am barely making it. I have a used vehicle, my total income for the month is a little over $600 and yet I only get $39 in assistance. Explain that? What makes it worse, is watching the people who drive new vehicles down to the office, wearing name brand clothes, and throwing a fit because they were jipped a few dollars in food stamps. With the amount I get a month, I have no income to play with whatsoever which means my Son doesn't get to have a good Christmas. As my rent shot way up, but yet I have noticed other people who are working that still don't pay rent. Which is because of the housing program I am on, and it really irritates me right now seeing others take advantage of the system like that. I overheard that conversation while in the waiting room, this girl was bragging that she didn't get caught yet and buying all these gifts for her kids. I did see what she was trying to do, to make a better Christmas for her kids but still. This person was only hurting herself because they do find out.

With out Our Governor in so much hot water right now, look at this...its all over the internet now. Its not a joke people this Governor has been taking our tax money for his own personal uses...and for him wanting to make money. His salary is around $177,000 and he's wanting more.. WTF? Here I am barely making money as it is, he's being all selfish, robbing us blind and keeps taking more and more money out of our pockets. This dude is seriously in trouble, and I HOPE HOPE..he gets what he deserves. Seriously!!!!

An online friend asked if I had made some snow angels with the snow we have rec'd. Well. I didn't but my Son did. I know she misses IL. so I wanted to share a picture of the Snow Angel my Son had made just for her...granted it was cold out and snowy, we managed to get a good picture. What's amazing is you can see snow flakes in the picture itself..lol.

Who would of thunk that our Governor Rod Blagojevich would think of selling Barack Obama's Senate seat for profit? THEN, threatening to withhold assistance to companies unless something else happens? WTH is wrong with our Governors? The one prior is serving a 6 year prison term for approving trucking licenses for bribes. There are other charges as well. But its pretty messed up about this. See our Governor now, flies back and forth from Chicago to Springfield, IL on a daily basis on his private jet. Using our money for his benefit. THEN on top of that, numerous state facilities are closing due to lack of funds. One of our State Parks BlackHawk State park is closing due to lack of funds. Honestly, what do you see wrong with this picture? Where is our money going? For his own personal use obviously. We all have to suffer for this man right now, which I personally think he needs to be removed. I hope Barack Obama does something to this Governor, and fast.
