I am truly in tears. I just listened and watched the speech from our new President. I am not in tears over the speech but as they were showing the crowd, Oprah was there and she had years then it was Rev. Jesse Jackson, who also was in tears. And its a happy but sad day because for one, Obama's Blessed Grandma who passed away on Sunday was not here to celebrate this day with her GrandSon. And now that he can celebrate this victory, he now has to lay his Grandmother to rest. I simply cannot imagine the feelings in his heart right now. I know she is looking down on him and just smiling, its making me tear up right now just thinking about it. I mentioned it to my Son, and his comment back... "She would be happy!". I love my Son so much.

Not tears of sorrow, but tears of joy. I voted for OBAMA...yes I believe in making history. I believe in equalization. I wanted to have the chance to live in history of having the first African-American President because I believe now that Martin Luther Kings Jr. words of. "I have a dream!" Is truly what he fought for. And its about time, because we are all equal no matter our race, no matter what. We should all be treated as equals. I teach my Son never ever to be judgemental on anyone whatsoever. I am excited right now, and now I can rest. I just hope that he makes the right decisions.
Now what I see, is his two little girls will have to up and move into the White House. I think that is the only thing that bothered me was having to uproot them from their schooling. I am watching the news of course, I am wanting to see Obama give his speech. And I thank goodness, I am clear across the state right now here in Illinois. I could not imagine the crowd in downtown Chicago right now. The massive crowd on TV and seeing all the people celebrating his win, brought chills thru my body.

For the very first time...yes. Smack me now. But I felt the need to vote this year for some reason. It really seems like the person everyone wanting to win is going to win. But the race itself is extremely close. I would like to see the person whom I voted win. It would definitely change history.
