And to think about it, I really need to start thinking about Christmas shopping. My Son is hooked on our Xbox 360 but his Dad has a PS3 and simply loves it. His Dad bought him a game for his birthday for when he’s at his house and of course I bought him the same game for our house. And he is only allowed to play it when his chores are done.
He’s been helping out alot lately too. I don’t know if he realizes that he needs to help out more, but he now just grabs a towel and starts drying the dishes without me asking. How cool is that? I love how he is changing and growing up so fast. It just seems like yesterday he was only a baby. Now he’s interested in far more grown up stuff. Like video games and hanging out with friends.

I’ve been busy all day working with my boyfriend trying to get our leak fixed in the kitchen. It never fails…one year ago today. Torrential downpours flooded my basement with almost 4 feet of water. My house was the worst in the neighborhood. It still makes me mad to think about it. To think about it, a little over a year ago I had a dream of buying a new Canon camera with my income tax this year. Yes I thought a year in advance about it. But when my basement flooded, those thoughts went out the door. Because I had to think about replacing some of my most prized possessions, and learn to replace what I could.
Here it is a year later. And I still don’t have all that I lost replaced. I did buy a camera and have started taking alot of more pictures this year.

I just would like to wish everyone a Happy Fourth of July. Its been a low-key day for us here. We woke up, starting cleaning house…started to fix the stupid sink and plumbing issue. Which by the way, is perfect Ghetto setup. Not shit’n you. Its taken pretty much most of the day. We almost have it, just cannot figure out why the screw thing won’t attach itself to the sink…Stupid thing.
