In this post, I was having some pictures printed out this morning when it was going to take an hour so I decided to go and get gas when I saw emergency vehicles, news crews, and other people literally running. Me, I am nosey rosey here and I took off to find out what was going on. Come to find out that the river has a flash flood last night which has in return caused for people to be evacuated from their homes. I watched one gentlemen be recused right in front of me, and his grateful wife embraced him. She had left earlier in the week to a safe place, and he stayed behind to watch the house. Well, its NOT safe to be in a house with water flooded around your house. Prime example, a garage caught fire last night and the Fire Dept. were not able to get to it due to about 4 feet of water standing in their way. Its breaking my heart that people are having to be rescued. Here is a link to our local newspaper….it just goes to show how bad it really is. I took some pictures as well.
